Hamptons Wedding
Caroline + Matt have been together for quite a long time – so long they never really thought to formally “get married” until just recently, because – why not! I love these types of relationships that just sort of evolve on their own over time, and you sort of lose track of time when you are together not realizing that so much time has passed, not even caring that the formalities aren’t in place because, hey, being together is what’s important.
They are both city folks (and I’m talking like old-school Queens! as that’s where Caroline grew up too)… but love the beach and spending time there together during their summers, so it was only natural that they have a Hamptons Wedding right on the beach, one of their favorite places. Rain or no rain, this was happening, and all of their guests were there to cheer them on! (Luckily we got a little break from the rain to create some beautiful and natural beach portraits at the end of the day!). Their wedding was spectacularly planned by Judy from Simply Divine, with singing performances and speeches by their close friends and family, and took place at the beautiful Bridgehampton Tennis and Surf Club.
So a little back story – when Caroline and I chatted before the wedding, we instantly connected on an artistic level as she comes from a journalistic background, and she has gone on to produce an amazing show on YouTube “Cooking with Granny” where she incorporates her love of food, culture, family, and her knowledge of tv production – all things I completely can appreciate also! One of the things I loved about this wedding was the simplicity in nature, being surrounded by family and just their closest friends in the place they love.. the very values that are connected to her show…
