Bonnet Island Wedding
Sometimes clients fall into your lap, sort of unexpectedly, and then you get to work with them… and then it all makes sense why…
We didn’t get to meet until the day of the wedding – being from opposite coasts, LA and NY, but we spoke several times on the phone prior to their wedding, and although I have to admit I felt a bit nervous about taking this on, because it would be my 3rd wedding of that weekend, I was confident that we would be able to pull this off, and that this would be a great fit.
And that it was. On a sweltering hot and humid summer day, we felt the slight breeze of the ocean on LBI, as Johanna + Matt prepared to see each other for the first time, all dressed up, ready to walk down the aisle. Their Bonnet Island wedding, my first time at that venue, was a dream that ended in the most magical sunset. And being the artist-minded folks they are, with their wedding photos first on the list of importance, they skipped out on dinner to let me capture some amazing photos of them both outside. The natural, raw and passionate energy between them both was palpable and such a treat for me to photograph. When a couple can be so into each other, and truly themselves in front of me while I capture the moments unfolding, is a true honor for me as a photographer, and it’s those moments that unique and natural wedding photos come about.
