Let's Create Memories Together.
My favorite types of weddings are the intimate ones – the ones with a little rustic culture and history mixed in – the not so perfectly staged weddings that have everything in place… so you’ll understand why Kathleen + Owen’s Keeler Tavern wedding in Ridgefield, CT was tops on my list!
I knew we had clicked with Kathleen and Owen from the start, as they described to me their non-traditional wedding ideas, the story of their long-distance love and how they made it work, and how they wanted to incorporate their love for photography and literature into their intimate wedding.
Owen and Kathleen met in the UK, a far far away land…
and while Owen and Kathleen had a long distance relationship for quite a few years, they seemed to make it work regardless, and wanted to be together no matter what… so Owen made the trek over to the United States just to be with Kathleen… who needs more story than that?
Seriously though, their ceremony, and the recounts of their days together, so beautifully put together by lovers of literature, had me tearing up behind my camera, as did the other guests at the wedding. The ceremony took place in a perfectly quaint setting, almost out of a page of a book in old English literature – a beautiful garden, rustic ivy creeping up, and old brick showing the age and character of the location where we were inhabiting at that time…
Kathleen + Owen’s story is one that gives you the chills just looking at them together… its a story of young love, a story of long distance love, and a story of intimate bonds…
Some of my favorite moments from their Keeler Tavern wedding are highlighted below:
