Let's Create Memories Together.
NJ Botanical Gardens Wedding
They met at work. He made up a package delivery that he was “supposed” to be receiving any day now… just so he could have an excuse to to talk to her every day. They went on a date. And the rest is history. Only years later did he actually reveal the truth about the “missing package”. So, of course… when I heard this story (and I do love a good “love story”!) I was melting a little inside ?
John and Mili are just as sweet of a couple in person as you’d think, reading this story. It was especially fun connecting because we have so much in common – being fellow wine lovers (yeah, Malbec!) and Mili also sharing her home country with my husband’s, Peru, which is very dear to my heart (Peruvians are seriously the most fun and cheerful people I’ve met!)
Their wedding was at one of my favorite venues in New Jersey, Skylands Manor at the NJ Botanical Gardens in Ringwood, NJ – such elegance, and an early 1900’s vintage flair, surrounded by some of the most beautiful nature scenes in New Jersey!
They had a classic Catholic wedding at St. Gabriel the Archangel Church in East Saddle River. It was most definitely an emotional walk down the aisle as the groom shed some tears seeing his bride walk down for the first time. As a wedding photographer, it’s really special to see how my clients react to seeing each other for the first time, and feel what it feels like to have that anxiety building up as you’re turned around and only minutes from seeing your bride.
John and Mili’s reception at the Skylands Manor was decked out to a beautiful, elegant decor, highlighting their love for wine, Peruvian pisco, and their great taste in decor. The night was filled with emotional speeches and dances, along with a dance floor that was always packed! We also got a chance to sneak away from the commotion to capture some more portraits of the gorgeous couple at night – one of my favorite times of the night – when they really get to just step away, take a breath, decompress, and take it all in how much fun they’re having!
Here are some of my favorite highlights from their day!
