First, let me tell you, I am a little bit in love with this couple and their engagement photos. Allie and Aaron’s engagement session was originally supposed to take place in my neck of the woods, since they were already from the city, and their wedding will have an industrial venue, they wanted a departure from their usual every day. So when it rained on their engagement session day, we had 2 options – cancel – or roll with it… and I was so happy when they agreed to do an In Home Engagement session at their apartment in Crown Heights, Brooklyn, because it is literally my absolute favorite way of capturing engagement photos. There is nothing like being invited into a space where your couples are most comfortable, capturing an intimacy between them that really can’t be felt at any other park or outside location. The memories and portraits we capture in these sessions, to me, are the most treasured, because they allow me to get a glimpse into their every day life, and encapsulate that into a photo for years and generations to come. Another reason I love this couple here… is that they were completely open and vulnerable to me at their session, as you can tell from their images, making these type of engagement photos work their best. When a couple can really be themselves, not be afraid to show true affection, and open up their hearts to each other, is when I can really get in there with my camera and do my best work…. so from my heart to yours.. thank you for opening up… I can not wait for these 2 to tie the knot in a couple of months… here are a few of my favorites from their At Home Engagement Session…
