Lindsey + Kevin | Liberty House | Jersey City, NJ

Well it goes without saying that Lindsey and Kevin love to party… and when we met a few months back, this was their main goal – to have a great fun party for their friends and family, with an non-traditional feeling. Their at-home engagement session was also super non-traditional, and one of my favorites to date! In fact, cocktail hour was first at their Liberty House wedding in Jersey City, as guests started to gather and enjoy the scenic NYC skyline view, while they gathered with just their closest friends for the Ketubah signing, and then walked down the aisle together. Later, a crazy dance party, lots of drinks, and fun toasts made this wedding a memorable one! Earlier on in the day, they got ready at the nearby Westin Hotel in Jersey City, and wanted their first look to be casual, and natural, before we headed out to one of my favorite spots to photograph portraits – the Powerhouse Arts District in Jersey City, which provided a unique, unfinished, and somewhat raw backdrop for their dramatic and creative wedding portraits. Also, I just love that these guys were so natural and non-chalant about their day, including my time with them around Jersey City to create their wedding portraits that probably belong in a magazine (thanks to their charm and sense of style!).
