Let's Create Memories Together.
New, creative venues are always a way for me to get a chance to explore weddings in a creative and different way.. Farida and Ibrahim’s Penn Museum Wedding was certainly one of the most creative I have photographed at this year, and I loved the opportunity and challenge to mix the modern aspect of a wedding along with the cultural traditions of an Indian Muslim wedding juxtaposed alongside a multi-cultural museum.
Farida + Ibrahim are super sweet, and as soon as I met them, I knew this would be a perfect union and wonderful celebration of culture, colors, and mixed emotions of happiness all the way through to the end of the Panna and Rukhsati ceremony which was an emotional one. The grand location for their wedding reception was in the China & Japan gallery at the Penn Museum, however we had free reign of the entire museum, exploring the different gardens, and the Egypt and Phinx galleries, having the opportunity to play and juxtapose their portraits alongside beautiful and unique pieces of history.
Thank you to my guest photographer Charmi, for her great captures and assistance as well!
Here is how I saw the story of their day unfold…
