Astoria engagement photos
Well I always knew some day the day would come where I would be taking photos more meaningful to me than any of my clients (no offense, guys, I love all of my clients!)… but this one hits closer to home, because it’s my sister Romi, and her fiance Josh. It’s been a wild ride for these two, and I think we all knew when they started dating that this would be it, and I’m so happy for them both because they both really deserve each other. They are pet parents to my 2 chihuahua-nieces, Bella and Honey, who Josh has adopted as his own, and they can sometimes be found ditching the bar crawls on a Saturday night to get licked in the face by these two while binge watching Netflix. When I threw the idea out, after they got engaged, to photograph their engagement pictures, we knew the only place for it would be both of their long-time homes, in Astoria, Queens. I wanted them to feel at home, and ignore the fact that it was her sister taking these intimate photos of them, and really just relax and enjoy the day together with their pups. And yes, I may have asked them to do a few typical “CWR” moves, as Romi likes to put it, but I really am happy that their silly personalities still came through in their engagement photos, and we get to see both a side that we knew was there, and one that maybe was just a little more hidden…
Well, I’ll save the rest of the embarrassing and sappy stories for my Matron of Honor speech… for now… enjoy a little taste of their session with some of my faves…
